during the day

Fancy learning how to Jive? Air Raid Jive will be giving FREE dance lessons twice a day in the indoor bar. Please check the show programme for times and types of dance.
Here’s what they say about themselves:
“Air Raid Jive is based in Witham, Essex. Our love of the 1940’s started many years ago. We began learning to Swing Jive around 2003 and this led to opening our own class in 2015. The style of Jive we teach was brought to Britain in the early 40’s with the arrival of the American GI’s. We have added some 50’s variations to these moves. Our aim is to teach in a Fun, Friendly Environment, catering for all ages from late teens to 70+ years.

We attend many events up and down the country throughout the year, teaching and dancing at WWII and Military Shows, Vintage Fairs, Weddings, Birthdays, Day Centres, Residential Homes etc. We have also been fortunate to have made TV appearances.

DJ Dinger

Also in the indoor bar during the day you will find DJ Dinger who will be playing an assortment of oldies and not so oldies throughout the day. Pop over to the Indoor bar, and enjoy a drink and a boogie!

jim hammond quartet - friday night

You are in for a treat with this fantastic band.

With keyboards, drums, guitars, double bass, and harmonica and the gravelly tones of Jim’s voice this band is outstanding.

They will play from a vast range of honky tonk, boogie woogie, rock and roll, rockabilly, and the blues. With familiar favourites and his own tunes, you will be challenged to sit still!

They have played at Glastonbury and other big festivals and have recorded 40 albums with some very talented artists, and we are very happy that they are joining us on Friday night to really launch the show in style!

If you want to know more here is a link to this very talented man’s website: www.jimhammondmusic.com

The Rock & Sax show will be entertaining you on Saturday night.

They are a 6-piece band and they bring passion and fun to their music.

They put a twist on classics from artists such as The Rolling Stones, Hendrix, Lynard Skynrd, The Beatles, Bryan Adams, Clapton and a whole host of other legends guaranteed to get you singing along and joining in with their sometimes-irreverent regard to the classics!

They don’t just play music, they put on a darned good show!
