Organising an event the size of Battles Through History would not be possible without a team of volunteers! We need YOU!
Why Volunteer?
As well as having fun, making friends and enjoying the show you will also get:
- Free entry to the show for yourself
- A rather fetching hi viz waistcoat
- Free tea, coffee, squash or water
- Free meal (if volunteering all day)
- Full instructions and support on the day
- A fabulous day out
We ask that each volunteer commits to a minimum of three hours between 8am and 8pm. In your free time you can enjoy the show!
We are looking for volunteers to assist with the following:
- Site build – marking out areas for the different sections of the site, either with spray or ropes and metal posts
- Ticket sales/ticket check ins
- Marshalling in various areas of the showground including the car park and camping areas
- Littler picking/general rubbish collecting
Other reasons to volunteer:
Students or graduates? Gain skills and experience transferable to many career choices.
Looking for work? Adds something very different to your CV which will certainly make you stand out from the crowd!
Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme? This fulfils the volunteering requirement.
Retired? We can keep you busy and help you enjoy your retirement!

Please note: Volunteers must be over the age of 18. However, under 18’s will be considered but must have prior parent/guardian consent and supervision whilst on site. Groups and cadets: please contact us for a group booking.
